The venue
Old Smithy’s Dizzle is on a calm suburban road in Berlin, with huge big stable doors. Once you enter those doors, you find yourself in a little oasis. The building dates back to the 1800’s and the original features have been beautifully preserved whilst having a clean, modern feel.
The kitchen team
Safia was greeted by the event manager Annik, who was incredibly welcoming. She then introduced Safia to their Executive chef Sean and head chef Marco.
Safia and the chef team had a brief in the sunny garden before starting the prep.
Meal kits food prep
To keep the standards consistent from Paris to Berlin, Pure Punjabi meal kits, once again, were an essential part of the food prep process.
The quality and flavour from spice blends can vary enormously, and when we embarked on this project, we knew that this would make or break the meals at each location. We only work from the whole spice, and carefully blend by hand…as the women of our family have done for centuries. Combining these family-recipe blends with beautiful local produce in each city, was an absolute delight for us. Especially when each city and each team had such fantastic quality local ingredients.
Lunch service in the garden
Buffet stations were set up inside, as well as in the garden, giving guests the choice of where to sit and eat (both options were equally as fabulous as the other).
