Our garam masala is still made to our traditional family recipe and is lovingly mixed and hand ground in small batches. We don’t use heavy machinery that can completely strip the spices of their flavour. We carefully grind our spices to just the right consistency, releasing the full flavour of the spices, ready to make the most beautifully authentic meals.
Garam masala, literally meaning “hot mix”, is the basis of all Punjabi cuisine. Whether it’s a delicate meal of lentils, to appetising curried eggs or a hearty meat dish, you’ll find garam masala in all of them.
This carefully selected blend of spices transforms each meal into a mouth watering feast.

Pure Punjabi Tandoori Masala – Using quality, fresh ingredients…from our family to yours
Tandoori chicken is a world famous, and world favourite, dish. The chicken is marinated in a special blend of spices that give a depth of flavour that is unparalleled. Every jar of Pure Punjabi’s Tandoori Masala is made by hand, with every ingredient chopped, blended and squeezed by us. We NEVER use bottled ingredients and even the lemon juice is from whole lemons.
Modern day, supermarket versions of tandoori masala use red food colouring, which is not only unhealthy, but not true to the traditional ingredients.
Pure Punjabi’s Tandoori Masala gets its deep red colour from smoky paprika – not food colouring. So you can rest assured that not only is this a premium product, but that every ingredient is a natural ingredient. If you’re worried about allergies (cinnamon is the only allergen for those with this rare allergy), or concerned about the quality of the food you eat, then look no further!
Tandoori chicken is traditionally cooked in a clay oven, called a tandoor, which gives the it the name ‘tandoori’ masala. This oven is very similar to a modern day pizza oven and cooks the chicken to perfection, giving the meat a wonderful charred finish.

Allergens & ingredients
Both the Garam Masala and the Tandoori Masala do not contain any wheat, gluten, dairy, eggs, nuts. They are both vegetarian and vegan products.
Garam Masala ingredients: cumin seeds, coriander seeds, black cardamom, green cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, peppercorn.
All of the above spices are ground from whole by us. We only use whole spices and do not use any pre-ground spices.
Tandoori Masala ingredients: garlic, ginger, chilli, cumin seeds, lemon juice (from whole lemons), cumin seeds, paprika, garam masala (cumin seeds, coriander seeds, black cardamom, green cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, peppercorns), salt, freshly ground pepper (from whole peppercorns), sunflower oil.
