How the Gluten-free plant-based meal box works
Each sachet contains all the spices and dried ingredients you need to make each dish. Just buy fresh ingredients when you are ready to cook and follow our method instructions. These tell you exactly how we, as Punjabis, make these dishes ourselves, at home.
Adding your own fresh ingredients, means that you control the level of heat in your dish. Simply add as much or as little chilli as desired.
Here’s all the range of meal sachets you’ll receive in your Gluten-free plant-based meal box…
Onion bhajis
The original Punjabi style Pakore (bhajis), made with potato and spinach, in addition to onion. These bhajis have to be eaten to be believed. You’ll never eat restaurant or factory produced ones again.
Stuffed aubergines
Filled with a carefully selected combination of hand ground spices. These lightly spiced stuffed aubergines are perfect as a starter or main.
Tamarind chutney
A sharp, sweet and sour chutney. Made from fresh tamarind pulp, it is a world apart from anything you’ve tasted before.
Chole
The ultimate way to eat chickpeas. This dish has all the goodness of pulses at their very best.
Saag
A delicious dish of dark leafy greens, typically made with mustard leaves, spinach and fenugreek leaves. Traditionally served with Makki di Roti (cornmeal chapattis). This is the hearty dish of working farmers.
Makki di Roti
The lesser known, yet equally delicious, chapatti. Made from cornmeal, and traditionally served with ‘Saag’ – spiced mustard leaves.
Rajma Dhal
The classic kidney bean dhal with the addition of black turtle beans for a truly satisfying combination.
Jeera Chawl
Light, fragrant basmati rice with gently sizzled cumin seeds.
Aloo Gobi
A simple, classic, hearty, yet filling and wonderful way to use cauliflower & potatoes.
Coconut & Sesame Chutney
A cooling chutney with a hint of freshly ground green cardamom. The perfect dip for any buffet table.
Vegetarian Biriyani
The dish of Kings, in a vegetarian form. Equally as delicious and tasty.
