The Vegetable Samosa, Punjabi Chicken, Jeera Rice & Suji Ladoo 3-Course meal
The starter here is a tasty vegetable samosa, which you can make as ‘chilli hot’ as you like, and this an excellent contrast to the richer Punjabi Chicken main.
The Punjabi Chicken has a rich gravy and is Great Taste award-winner, as a cooked dish. The method instructions also allow for this dish to be made into a paste for marinading, and then grilling or barbecuing. This is accompanied by Jeera rice, which is a fragrant cumin-flavoured Basmati rice.
The delicious semolina dumplings – Suji Ladoo, are easy to make and can also be served as a pudding, rather than dumplings. It’s a great way to end a meal.
This is a menu to suit the whole family, as well as introduce some new flavours to anyone nervous about trying new food or Indian food, in which case add a minimal amount of chilli in the samosa mix – the chilli is always added by the cook, so you can adjust this to have it just the way you like for the starter and mains.
