1st Course

Tandoori Chicken Finger Sandwiches
Chicken marinated in our double Great Taste Award winning Tandoori Masala and cooked till tender…layered with fresh spinach on soft bread

Spiced Egg & Cress Finger Sandwiches
Free range local eggs mixed with our family recipe hand ground spice blend

Onion Bhaji & Tamarind Chutney
Crisp Punjabi Pakore/onion bhajis served with a tangy tamarind/Imli chutney which is made from fresh tamarind pulp (not from concentrate tamarind paste) for a truly delicious chutney to accompany these delightful savoury treats

Matiyan
A flaky, buttery, lightly spiced savoury Indian biscuit

2nd course

Home-made Scones
Served with pistachio butter

White Chocolate & rose petal shortbread
Homemade shortbread made using local Somerset butter, lightly fragrant rose petals with a drizzle of sweet white chocolate

Besan
A crumbly, buttery Indian fudge that is slow cooked till it is lightly caramelised and garnished with flaked almonds & crushed pistachios

Mini fruit platter
Seasonal fruit for a naturally sweet and refreshing taste

Summer Socialising in Somerset

Sitting with the backdrop of our 300 year old ham stone building, you will enjoy a delightful 2-course afternoon tea, with an Anglo-Indian menu, whilst enjoying the live performance of classical pianist Karan, set in our beautiful Somerset garden.

Bring your own beautiful, summery, floral blankets/pretty coverings (bring a ground sheet if it needs one underneath). Bring your own nick-nacks in a pretty basket. We will be providing you your own dedicated spot, demarcated with a flower posy.

 

Seating options will be to bring your own picnic blankets and cushions

We will have picnic benches for those who cannot sit on the ground

There will also be some wicker chairs and tables.

 

Please request picnic benches and wicker chairs as these will be limited.

We will have live piano performance for you to appreciate as you sit and enjoy your afternoon tea. Karan is a fellow Punjabi, and his client base spans the globe, with cities including London, Dubai, and New York to name but a few. He will be performing a range of songs befitting a beautiful Summer’s day with fine food, charming surrounding and delightful company.

We are having such fun cooking from The Spice Pack Collection and all the dishes have come out brilliantly. The smell is divine and Rob, who is very fussy, is particularly impressed. All our visitors are wowed when they smell the box – we’ve been too possessive to share any with others, as yet!

As a natural therapist I particularly appreciate the healthy aspect of each dish, none of which compromise on taste. Good ingredients freshly cooked makes a big difference.

We’re going on holiday with three other couples in a couple of weeks and going to take the pack with us to cook some dishes together.
